Youth participation pilot project to be held Georgia
The idea of the pilot project Seeds of Democracy was to increase the level of participation of young people at local self-government and enhance of the local democracy.
On 24-30 September 2018, youth from the different parts of Georgia included remote and disadvantage (religion and ethnic minorities) areas took part in the training course at Rustavi Scout Center.
The goal of the project is to strengthen local democracy by raising the level of youth engagement. During the project, participants were taught the principles of local democracy and active citizenship through the non-formal education methodology.
Also, the project considered the development of the action plans for the strengthening of local democracy via youth engagement. They should be initiated by the participants once they back to their communities.
Project was supported by the European Youth Foundation of Council of Europe.
